Glenrothes 2009
An intense burst of red fruit, cherries, plums before that sweetness kicks in from caramel, cinnamon, marzipan and dark chocolate. A taste of sweet nutty-caramel, cherries and plum with dried fruit, raisins, and dark chocolate. A long balanced finish of fruit and spice and tannin from the ruby port cask.
Ben Nevis 2012
Grassy, leafy, hay, fruity, banana, vanilla, honey aromas. On the palate a quick sweet spice before a rush of malt, grapefruit, banana, vanilla, honey, cocao and slight bite. A pleasant and long finish of fruit, malt and cocao.
Bowmore 1997
Initially captures your senses with a fresh, fruity & floral aroma then more with lemon-peel, ash, tobacco, nuts, dried fruit, spice, hint of leather followed by light smoke and peat. On the first sip, cedar, tobacco, leather, ripe caramelized fruit, lemon-peel and light peat gushes out before a balanced richness ensues. The finish is long with spice, lemon-peel and herbal notes of a mesh of mint & menthol.
